Enter Solid Foods!

Ok Addie Fans we have officially moved into rice cereal. Last night we fed adriana about 1 tbsp of rice cereal. We captured it on 3 different angles from pic. camera and video camera. ridiculous, we know. but we had way too much fun. Adriana was so excited. Auntie Erica bought her a Tiffany's silver spoon- only Erica could do such a thing. As the first spoonful came at her she was kicking her legs and grabbing at the spoon with 2 hands. She knew exactly what to do. She put it in her mouth and sucked, and sucked and sucked. She wouldn't let the spoon go. I guess she was afraid she wouldn't get anymore. She finally released her grip and as I continued to feed her she stopped holding on to the spoon for dear life. I guess she figured out that the spoon had to get to the bowl in order to get more rice cereal. ha.ha. too cute. I will post a pic. and the video will be posted on facebook soon.

Computers.. blah!

As most of you know, we have been having a problem putting our video onto this website. I am at a friend's house right now who has roadrunner and all of the "errors on page" that show up at our house are not showing up here. So, I might be coming over here to upload videos from now on. Remember, we live out in the boonies and our connection is quite slow and that is the only thing that we can come up with. Who knows really b/c I can upload our videos onto facebook with no problem. computers.. Ahhhh!

To my left is Adriana and her cousin, Emily. They were bonding. Susanne and family came from Houston for their spring break. yeah!

A photo of Adriana in her famous Bumbo chair. She is a lil crooked, but by the end of the night she got the hang of it. What a big girl.





The last picture I love b/c you can see her beautiful blue eyes. Besides her white skin, they seem to be the only remnants of mommy. Keep those baby blues honey!

It is very rare that Adriana and I get good pics together b/c I am the one w/ the camera. This was actually 2 wks ago, and yes it was cold. The hat she's wearing was made by one of my bf. she finally fits in it- yeah!

developmental milestones

So Adriana has seem to change overnight! All of a sudden nothing in front of her face is safe. She reaches for everything and once she gets it- she doesn't let go! This is a warning for all those with facial hair.. u will loose it. she pulls the hair on my head out on an hrly basis. but i love it. She also loves to give kisses. She will put her hands on either side of u'r face - grabbing your skin- pull u forward and open her mouth while hitting u'r lips. SOOOOOO SWEET. We luv Addie kisses! just watch out for her tongue, ha.ha.
Her grasping is so good that she can coordinate her motor skills to hold a sippy cup &/or bottle, bring it to her mouth & drink. I think that is evidence of a strong volleyball skill set in the making. Biggie will concur, won't u?
She is even sitting in her high chair. Her Nana bought her a "bumbo" chair. It is designed to be a chair w/ extra support. i will try to post some pics. of her first "sitting".
